The City: Kuala Lumpur (or KL as it's popularly known), was founded in the mid-nineteenth century, making it the youngest Southeast Asian capital; it is also the most economically successful after Singapore.  The city is awash with stunning examples of modern architecture, not least the famous Petronas Towers - a must-visit for the spectacular views from the Skybridge, and the recently opened Museum of Islamic Arts.
