The Marriot Grand Hotel in Moscow is located on Tverskaya Street,
well-known for both shopping and nightlife, in the heart of the
city. The hotel has spacious rooms with individual climate
control and wireless high-speed Internet access. Guests may enjoy
a steak at the Polo Club steakhouse, or sample International cuisine at
the Aurora restaurant and Lobby bar. Health club facilities
include a well-equipped gym, spa and indoor pool.
The hotel is close to several major tourist attractions, including the
famous Red Square, considered by many to be the central square of both
Moscow and Russia. Adjacent is the Kremlin, a historic fortified
complex, which serves as the official residence of the president of
Russia. Also close by is the striking St Basil’s Cathedral, with
its distinctive domes. At the opposite end of the Red Square is
the State Historical Museum.
You may choose to visit the beautiful Bolshoi Theatre, which gives
performances of ballet and opera, or visit Lenin’s Mausoleum to see the
preserved body of Vladimir Illych Lenin, the founder of the Soviet
Union. Visitors can explore the city using the metro system of
which the ornate stations themselves are the attraction, with their
unique designs providing an introduction to the development of Soviet
art and architecture over more than half a century.
